Intense rumors were doing the rounds that full-scale lockdown imposition will be announced from 15th June throughout the country. However, the real status has been clarified immediately:
During the 5th Phase of the Lockdown situation (imposed from 25th March in 4 Phases), a great degree of relaxations was made.
As per the order released by the Central Ministry, the permission to enter and dine in hotels/restaurants and travel in call-taxis and autos were permitted.Subsequently, the larger malls and stores/shops and the religious worship places were opened with some regulations.
In this situation, the impact/intensity of the coronavirus pandemic has gone higher with large numbers of infections reported throughout the country. As such, rumors became afloat that a full-fledged lockdown situation will be imposed again from 15th June.
The news, with photographs, was released in one of the Northern state Hindi News Agency. Immediately, this became a virus on social networking media. Thereafter, information got around that the central government has imposed 100% lockdown again and the train/flight would be stopped again!
Subsequently, the Ministry has categorically clarified that the photograph which became viral was a fake one. Some mischief-makers had indulged in changing the original photograph with another which became viral!
With the above, it is 100% confirmed that no announcement has been made regarding imposition again of 100% lockdown! The Central Ministry has clarified that the train and flight services will continue.
Further, serious efforts and measures are being undertaken as a precautionary measure to prevent/check the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic.
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami would take a decision on the extension of lockdown in Tamilnadu after consulting senior ministers and health experts said Health Minister C.Vijayabhaskar. He also informed taking into consideration reports by a panel of health experts before deciding on the lockdown has to be extended.
However, he did not specify any time or date for such a meeting by the CM. But the minister response comes in the wake of social media in the form of a rumour saying that lockdown could be extended and rules would be made much more stringent.
