2 years of Chennai Floods can be memories for all OR a moment that proved our unity to the world.. But for Team Chennai Micro, it is a Responsibility. After Chennai Floods was battled by Chennaites, everyone returned to normalcy within few weeks, but, many orphanages, old age homes, ponds, animal shelters and many others struggled to get back to their normal self without monetary support.
RJ Balaji and Chennai Micro team put to good use of the funds they received during 2015 Chennai Floods for rehabilitation and the lives they began to provide positivity and a better life. As word spread about the rehabilitation support Chennai Micro was providing, enquiries started to pour in through references; many requests were made through social media and each & every request was verified with a team to direct help and funds accordingly.
Many people lost their usual lives, so, with the aid of Chennai Micro funds and volunteers untiring determination, they built buildings, homes, toilets and have been taking care of many students’ education fees for the past 2 years and the list can go on. Chennai Micro were backed by many kind hearts from many NGOs and faceless philanthropists. We have listed below a few of the works Chennai Micro team have carried out.
Chennai Micro and the People of Chennai have been recognised by NDTV, CNN News 18s “Indian of the Year 2016” under Public Service category. Recently, Chennai Micro’s success was recognised at India’s first Social Summit Awards 2017 in association with Andhra Pradesh State Government, which was accepted by the man who was behind the inception of Chennai Micro in 2015, RJ Balaji. If Chennai Micro hadn’t cared much and went about their lives, it is highly unlikely that many lives wouldn’t have got their fair chance to give a shot at life.
